Crna Svinja

One of the hallmarks of this region is certainly the black Slavonian pig. This indigenous breed, characterised by a solid black coat, traditionally grown in the Slavonian oak forests, where it fed on acorns and other natural fodder, is valued for its high-quality, full-flavoured meat, which is especially important in the production of traditional Croatian cured meat products.
