Đakovo
Đakovo is best known for its archbishop's palace, cathedral, wine and noble Lipizzan horses that are still bred not only in the town but also in the entire region.
As you approach the city, you will see the tall and slender red towers of the Neo-Romanesque Cathedral of St. Peter, the second largest church in Croatia after Zagreb and the third tallest at 84 meters.

In the city, visit the world-famous Lipizzan horse farm, the Đakovo State Stable, which was founded by the bishops back in 1506. The stable was particularly impressed by Queen Elizabeth II of England. during his visit to Croatia in 1972, which made Đakovo even more famous around the world.
While you are there, be sure to taste the excellent wines from the nearby vineyards, such as the ground and fragrant Traminac.
