Osijek
"City on the Drava" got its name from the word "tide". It is the fourth largest in Croatia with about 100,000 inhabitants and the cultural and economic center of the region of Slavonia and Baranja - eastern Croatia.

To start your stay in Osijek, we recommend that you visit the Fortress, a fortified part of the city from the 18th century, where you will see some of the most valuable examples of baroque architecture in Croatia, such as the votive statue of St. Trinity and General Barracks, well known to you from the 200 kuna banknote.
Passing through a belt of large parks and parkways, you will come to the Art Nouveau quarter with monumental private and public palaces such as the gallery, court and post office buildings, and finally to the main town square with the neo-Gothic "Osijek Cathedral".
Not far from the square, there is the most attractive part of the Drava promenade, the Promenade, with the Winter Arch and a series of cafes with terraces and a beautiful view of the river.
