On Friday, June 5, 2026, from 5 p.m. as part of the Baranja Bećarac event, in the beautiful setting of the tree-lined avenue in front of the Church of St. Peter and Paul near Topolje, the “Wine and Tamburtza” program will be held for the third time, presenting winemakers from Croatian and Hungarian Baranja.

An event that combines two Pannonian loves, wine and tamburitza, because the sounds of tamburitza music and Baranja wines simply complement each other perfectly! This year, we are going even further into the past because the warm-up is with bagpipes.

Top-quality Danube wines will be served in small wine (cellar) glasses that were an indispensable inventory of every Baranja cellar, and therefore witnesses to happy gatherings in Planina, as the locals call the nearby wine-growing Bansko Brdo.

After a host of bagpipers from various European countries who start playing as early as 5 pm, at 7 pm we can expect a performance by TA Ruža from Subotica, while at 9 pm TS Šokci from Osijek will perform!

Come to Topolje on June 5th for “Vino & tambure” and raise a toast to the tamburica and generations of Baranja winegrowers, and the next day on June 6th come again for a plate full of Baranja pasta delicacies, at the popular “Festival tista” (pasta festival).

The event is organized by the Tourist Board of the Draž Municipality, the Draž Municipality, KTM Baranjski bećarac with the support of the Baranja Winegrowers Association Zmajevac.
