Yes, yes, that is also possible – for vegetarians and vegans in Slavonia and Baranja to have their own way. On the one hand, an increasing number of local restaurants in the vegetarian segment are developing their offer in a direction that successfully moves away from the improvised equating of “veggie” and “side dishes” part of the menu (which is also a premium compared to menus that equated “veggie” with dishes from chicken or fish for example). The contemporary gastronomy of Slavonia and Baranja is more and more inclusive and imaginative, thanks to which the growing number of visitors with vegetarian-vegan eating habits can also enjoy the food here, and not just eat to survive.<\/p>\n\n

With this type of offer – offering one or more designed vegetarian dishes – restaurants like “Loora” from \u0110akovo and “Stari mlin” from Dala stand out. In Osijek, you can have particularly good vegetarian food at the restaurant “Lipov hlad”, but also at “Rustika” and “Waldinger” (including its patisserie “Gold by Waldinger”). On the Baranja gastro-menu, the excellent vegetarian dishes from “Josi\u0107’s” menu stand out. The same applies to \u010cepin’s “Crna Svinja”, although you might not be able to tell from the name of the restaurant at first glance.<\/p>\n\n
