During Holy Week and during Easter<\/strong> until<\/strong> April 21st<\/strong>, take a ride on the Zeko-express<\/strong><\/a>, a cheerful children’s Easter train<\/strong> in the Osijek-Baranja County, and until April 25th<\/strong>, hang out with another bunny at his Zekoslavnim pri\u010dama u Vrtnoj bajci<\/strong><\/a> Bunny tales in the Garden Fairytale<\/strong>\u00a0in \u010cepin with fun activities for children and families.<\/p>\n

The Easter market season<\/strong> opens on April 14<\/strong> with Uskrs u Valpovu<\/strong><\/a> Easter in Valpovo<\/strong>, which lasts until April 19.<\/strong> Along with the market, a number of other fun activities are offered there, especially for children, just like on Wednesday April 16<\/strong> when you visit the State Stud Farm \u0110akovo and the Uskrs na Ergeli<\/strong><\/a> Easter at the Stud Farm<\/strong>\u00a0event, where, in addition to an equestrian show, they also prepare special Lipizzaner carriage rides for everyone. On Holy Saturday, April 19<\/strong>, come to Uskrs u Beli\u0161\u0107u<\/strong><\/a> Easter in Beli\u0161\u0107e<\/strong>\u00a0to see what a huge nest with 1,000 Easter eggs looks like, and on Easter Monday, April 21<\/strong>, come to Na\u0161ice for the Me\u0111unarodni Oldtimer susret<\/strong><\/a> (International Oldtimer Car’s Meeting<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

\"Ova<\/p>\n

From April 17 to 21<\/strong>, experience Uskrs u Osijeku<\/strong><\/a> Easter in Osijek<\/strong>. There, on Holy Thursday, children will build an Easter nest<\/strong> for colorful Easter eggs near the Zoo and, for the first time this season, will be transported from the right to the left bank of the Drava River on the popular ferry “Kompa”. On Good Friday at 12 noon, the traditional cooking of fish-paprikash<\/strong> is held on the Trg sv. Trojstva in Tvr\u0111a. On Holy Saturday, along with the Easter Market<\/strong> on the main square from 10 am to 1 pm, children’s workshops on making Easter cards are also organized, and on Easter at 4 pm, a free walking tour of the city<\/strong> starts in front of the Osijek Cathedral. On Easter Monday, children and families can once again hang out with the Easter Bunny at the Zoo<\/strong>, and all the time, from Maundy Thursday to Easter Monday, April 17-21, all citizens and guests can take a ride on the cheerful Easter tram<\/strong> around the city. An indispensable part of the program on the main square on Holy Saturday at noon will be the arrival of the Moto Bunnies<\/strong>, who will bring joy and smiles to the faces of everyone present at noon.<\/p>\n

In the week after Easter<\/strong>, visit Osijek again and the Flower and Tree Festival<\/strong> Festival cvije\u0107a i drve\u0107a<\/strong><\/a> from April 25 to 27<\/strong>, and find inspiration for spring decoration of your house, apartment and yard at the fair of seedlings, flowers and ornamental plants. In addition to the fair, the festival also features entertaining and educational workshops as well as performances by young musicians and dancers. On the Saturday before Divine Mercy Sunday, April 26<\/strong>, you are invited to the Easter table in \u0110akovo<\/strong> Uskrsni stol u \u0110akovu<\/strong><\/a>, where you can experience the folk customs of villages and national minorities, and a similar folklore event with a display of Easter customs is also held near \u0110akovo, so on April 27<\/strong>, come “In Budrovci, on White Sunday”<\/strong> U Budrovci, na Nedilju bilu<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

For all those who, after enjoying the holiday cuisine, will be in search of nature and recreation<\/strong>, there are sports and recreational events: from April 25 to 27<\/strong>, visit Osijek and SALORI – the international hunting, fishing and tourism fair SALORI\u00a0\u2013 me\u0111unarodni sajam lova, ribolova i turizma<\/a><\/strong>, where you can find equipment and supplies for hunting and fishing, vessels and nautical equipment, learn all about hunting grounds, hunting trophies, and enjoy the rich eno-gastronomic offer; and on April 26<\/strong>, Spend a Sports Weekend in Beli\u0161\u0107e<\/strong> Sportski Weekend u Beli\u0161\u0107u<\/strong><\/a> during which you can enjoy two races: \u201cBeli\u0161\u0107anski cener\u201d and \u201cJugova\u010da trail\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Towards the end of April, also on Saturday April 26<\/strong>, everyone who hasn\u2019t yet, pump up your bike tires and officially open the cycling season<\/strong> with the favorite outdoor event Deer & Bike Baranja<\/strong><\/a>, a tourist and educational cycling recreation with a guided tour of the Danube forests and moors, the Surduk ravines and viewpoints of the wine-growing Bansko brdo and the vast Baranja plain, while tasting traditional \u0160okac dishes and getting to know the cultural heritage of the Danube region.<\/p>\n
