The largest family oriented festival<\/strong> in Croatian interiour “Zemlja bez granica<\/strong>” (“Land without Borders”) will be held in Osijek’s old town of Tvr\u0111a<\/strong> in the period one week before the beginning of the new school year, in the period from August 26th to 30th 2024<\/strong>, under the name CHALLENGE(I) THE WORLD.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Osijek will once again become a city of imaginative creation of something new, inspiring, woven from children’s ideas that are connected in generational creativity, realizing an intercultural dialogue of the entire community. Parks and streets will become a kind of City of Dreams where you will be surprised by the incredible power of childhood, play and imagination, imprinted on your senses.<\/p>\n

From August 26 to 29, during the morning hours and later in the afternoon, the old town of Tvr\u0111a will become a training ground and classroom for children and young people who will attend selected workshops over four days and, together with around 60 leaders, acquire new knowledge and skills such as circus skills, walking on stilts, scouting, medieval cooking, dance choreography, film make-up, forgotten letters, a cartoon in which the main characters are workshop participants, a children’s orchestra, a cheerful hospital and old crafts and games.<\/p>\n

According to the schedule, which will be available on the Festival’s website www.zemljabezgranica.com, the workshops will be held in outdoor and indoor spaces within the Fortress (School of Economics and Administration in Osijek – small building, City Galleries Osijek – Waldinger Gallery, HDLU Osijek , the Jesuit Classical Gymnasium Osijek, the Technical Culture Association of the City of Osijek, the Old Bakery and the meadow around the Water Gate). Each participant can register for a maximum of two different workshops through the application form available on the Festival’s website from the beginning of August.<\/p>\n

The most important event of the Festival is its finale, which is planned for August 30 in the evening, when the participants, children and young people, will present all the skills they have learned and everything they have created together with their leaders in the so-called Snovograd (City of Dreams) through the streets of Tvr\u0111a when we expect several thousand performers and visitors.<\/p>\n

In parallel, while the workshops will be held in the old town from August 26 to 29, panels, plays and concerts will be held in the Fortress in the early evening and in the evening, along with the indispensable food corner of local restaurateurs.<\/p>\n

We connected creatively designed events with several themes: tourism, communications, sports, knowledge and children, and among the guests we single out Mihovil \u0160panja, Ella Dvornik, Ivana Mi\u0161eri\u0107, the Malay tapir, Kre\u0161imir Mi\u0161ak, Kre\u0161imir Su\u010devi\u0107 Me\u0111eral + surprise guests and the play Casablanca by Mario Battifiaca and Irene Grdni\u0107 and concerts: Veja, Dino Jelusick, Gradske bitange and Hornbox.<\/p>\n

Although the Festival officially ends on August 30th in the evening, on Saturday August 31st, in the early morning hours, the festival’s traditional 5-kilometer citizens’ race called the Morning Five will be held. This year too, the funds from the registration fee will be used for humanitarian purposes, and all visitors can expect festival starting numbers and medals, as well as prizes for different categories. The race is jointly organized by Udruga Breza and Run4Fun with the support of bio&bio.<\/p>\n

All events and workshops are free for all participants and visitors.<\/em><\/p>\n
